It’s time and you can feel it. Math has been soaking into your brain for what seems like an eternity. Your body is glowing with energy in anticipation. Finally, the period bell rings and Mrs. Burton tells everyone to get their shoes and jackets on. You rush out of your seat and put out your jacket and shoes, there’s no time to tie them, so you let you laces dangle as you sprint past the other kids out the door. You know the way to the outside, the path or freedom if only for a short time. With blue skies in site, you push open that heavy door and feel that cool breeze brush through your hair as you close your eyes, temporarily blinded by the sun. Yes, it is time. It is recess.

It’s Recess is about reclaiming those moments of childhood where play and fun were the most important, most treasured things in the world. Our events recreate those good old fashioned playground games that you remember as a kid.
